Inventory Management - Parts In Place

I have been asked to devise an inventory management solution for a small electronics manufacturer. I found an interesting applicaiton called Parts In Place that seems to fulfill our rather low-end needs. Please share your experiences with it or a similar product. Thanks in advance!

Looks to me like it's an online application where you store YOUR data on THEIR servers. Is that what you're looking for?
If I'm mistaken or you're perfectly OK with that then please disregard this post

That, specifically, is not an issue. After all, a BOM without intent is just a pile of parts. The IP is in the software.

It won't work for me as I would like to have a multi-level BOM - hierarchies are not supported in PIP.com.

No connection with them. Have considered their offering but have not been able to justify the costs. Your case may be different.

In the mean time I am looking at Filemaker  to set up the inventory. File maker will handle flat and relational databases and will contain both text and multimedia.

Lower in cost, costlier in time.
