Busbar insulator?
« on: May 20, 2022, 08:49:29 am »
Hello everyone,
I've seen on some Power supplies an insulator between the case and the copper busbar (see attached picture)
I'm wondering how that part is called, I searched for fitting names but to no avail.

I'd like to use the same principle as in the picture with a busbar extending outside of a case.
So my question is how that part is called and if by chance anyone knows if there are some shelf items or if there are only custom parts?

cheers
I always need 3 attempts to plug in a USB connector

I think 'insulating bush' (or bushing) is probably the best name. 'Insulating sleeve' will probbly bring up too many flexible sleeving hits.

I suspect tht the part shown is custom. Off-the-shelf bushes tend to be circular but I've never tried to source a rectangular one.
Best Regards, Chris
