Connecting three or more wire ends together?

(1/2) > >>

Faringdon:
Hi,
We've all been there, you want to connect three wire ends together....soldering two together is ok...but when you try to solder the third, the first two come unsoldered....aaaah

But here is the magic way...
Just buy a cheap n-way wire to board terminal block....solder its legs together with tinned copper wire......then simply  screw in any wire you want in the junction...as many as you  have "ways" in the terminal block.

Do you have a better way than this?.....(excepting wago connectors which cost a fortune)

DavidAlfa:
Really?
Just twist them before soldering?

jpanhalt:
Wago is a fortune?  $0.75 in small lots and branded.  $0.36 in lots of 100 and branded.  Or, use American wire nuts.  Perhaps most important, when doing household or machine wiring, they do not create weak points like solder does and meet code (where applicable).  Or, use crimp fittings for stranded wire.

Gyro:
Presumably, as this is Faringdon/Treez, insulation is optional.

Faringdon:
Thanks jpanhalt, we are wondering what are "American wire nuts"?

..it doesnt look like  you can separate them again later?
