Please HELP: Ersa or Finetech Rework Stations?
« on: March 15, 2019, 12:02:12 am »
Dear all,

I'm considering to buy a nice rework station for our lab. We are not gonna do mass production and the smallest components that we will be soldering is in the order of 0201 smd components. Actually, I'm considering the following three machines and still I'm not able to pick one. Budget-wise I can cover any of them but I just wanna make sure that I'm selecting the right one.

*****This one will cost about $40k.

*****This one will cost about $70k. And if I add a dispensing module it will cost about $84k. Another good thing about this is that If I get it I wont need a reflow machine.

This one costs about $23k.

The boards that I will be placing the components on will be max 20cm*20cm. And I would prefer to be able to place components all over the board.

Could you please let me know if you have any suggestion on this? Any other machine that is better in this price range?

I very much appreciate your help with this.

The only suggestion I can make (as some one else also mentioned it in your other topic) on these machines is, that if you are prepared to spend that amount of money, just approach the manufacturer/distributor and ask them for demo - either they come to you with the machines (less likely as these abit bulky), or you go to them with your boards.
