Hakko FR811-SET
« on: May 23, 2022, 09:55:27 pm »
Hello, my boss considers buying a SMD/QFN/BGA rework station about 5000-8000USD. He likes the Hakko FR811-SET. Is it a good rework station? It would be used for small QFN mainly.

The camera included is rather basic. 0,3Mpix. https://hakkousa.com/999-267-vision-kit.html

Are there some other rework stations in this price range? Ersa maybe? Quick?
Or PACE IR1000?

Now I have a JBC AM hot air station (and more) and a JBC preheater. Probably the JBC PHS-2KB.

I would like to have a professional equipment (not only) for AD9912 and AD9102B rework...
Any opinion on this company?

Just my two cents. I had the Aoyue AO866 for few years and used it a lot. $200. Was very reliable for me. For such a price, you may buy few of them and keep it in your shop. Just my two cents.

I think that my JBC AM hot air station (and more) and a JBC preheater are not worse than Aoyue AO866. But you have to hold the hot air tool in your hand.
