I've thought about using JLC's assembly service, but they have a very limited selection and their reel change fees really run up the price on small quantity jobs.  I'm going to try to go through PCBWay which will allow you to give them a parts kit.

FWIW, I've found that manufacture/assembly from nextpcb.com is cheaper than pcbway, pretty much all the time

Don't work there, yadda yadda...

When I priced it out, nextpcb seemed way more expensive.

To be clear, I was talking about nextpcb being cheaper than pcbway (and I've used both) but maybe it's more to do with the type of boards I'm doing. Typically I've got 6 layers and big BGAs, including assembly. Generally I find nextpcb to be $100->$200 cheaper when doing the prototype run of 5.
