Need to open PCB enclosure solidworks files
« on: November 16, 2022, 03:36:07 pm »
Hi,
Please could you advise on how I can open solidworks files (to view free of charge) so I can see inside the enclosures of our  PCBs?
Every now and then we have to find an alternative SMD capacitor for a nil-stocked one. We can often only find an alternative of a greater height, and then need to get the mech files to see if it will fit in.
'Perfection' is the enemy of 'perfectly satisfactory'

SolidWorks offer eDrawings Viewer for free viewing of 3D files.
https://www.edrawingsviewer.com/

You could have found that with a Google search in less time than typing your post.
