Has any one tried this oven yet? 2000W could be abit under powered.

2000W ought to be enough I think, it's zoned so you don't need to have a quick ramp-up like you do with a single-zone oven and it does take 15 minutes to stabilise which is long enough to get the hot bit, hot. Not quite sure how you fit 3 zones in something just over 2 feet long. it certainly looks the part. Do you have any idea what they are charging for it? Oh I can answer that question, well google can, $3,500. Can't find a review.

Hi Mairo,

This is Alice from Neoden, glad to know you are interested in our products.

IN6 is our newly-released reflow oven, it is a hot air type oven, and eco-friendly, which is a great choice for PCB prototype and research work.

If you have any questions or would like to know more details about IN6, please feel free to contact us.

Best Regards

Hi,

We use this oven. It's good for our requirements. It leaves the air in our office pretty clean with it's filters.

It does have its size limitations but it's not designed for huge boards.

We put a 300x130mm panel in it, and after a few tweaks it solders it perfectly. It's a 1.6mm PTH panel with two big ground planes - pretty much all copper.

That is close to its limits as it drops the temperature of the oven enough for it to tell you a few minutes later it's ready again.

Perfect for our requirements (300-400 5x10cm PCBs per month)

Michael

Would you recommend this machine for production quantities?  500 pcs/day

Our boards are slightly bigger 250mm x 280mm.  I can shrink the layout if needed.

Hi Alice,

Can you give us rough pricing? Also, is the max pcb width (compared to max soldering width) larger than 260mm? - we have some 276mm square boards that we reflow that have most components within a 116mm square in the middle.

TIA, Alan

Hi Alan,

Thanks so much for your interests in our products.

According to your information, IN6 is workable for the 276mm square boards, and 260mm is the max soldering width.

We have our distributor in EU for all your queries and discussions, you are most welcome to their website www.neodentech.eu for any further details about IN6.

Best regards,
Alice

Hi Reckless,

Thanks very much for your interests of IN6.

The production quantity is about 200pcs/day, and the PCB size-250*280mm is workable because max soldering width is 260mm.

Hello flydrive,

The power of 2000W is not the total power of the heaters.

Because of a clever power management the maximum power requirement is reduced.

I know this is a somewhat old thread, but I'm trying anyway... anyone got some (more) experience on the IN6 oven by now ?
The price is reasonably ok, I just wonder if the oven is "working ok" ???

I grabbed an IN6 last year when they were launched, imported direct as they were not available in the US at the time. I would only consider myself a hobbyist and for me the machine is perfect. Solid build quality, easy to set heat zones and it has an on board thermal profiler which is handy. Simple Controls. I've done a few hundreds boards without issue.

I actually got it to help me decide whether to get a neoden 4, which I have. Dealing direct with Neoden China was always very prompt/fast (Sometimes within minutes) when ordering the IN6, Neoden4 and some extra feeders/nozzles.

Would you try to run 50-100 boards a day with this oven?

If I had to run that many boards every day, I wouldn't hesitate. I've had the oven running for about 6+ hours several times and average 2-3 (20cm x 10cm) board runs monthly. The heat zones keep up fine.

It is my first oven, as hobbyist now almost 1 year into home smt pcb assembly. It has saved me many hours of labor, I have been doing through hole by hand for about 12 years. I had considered getting a MISTRAL 260, for the same cost I got an IN6 and a Neoden 4.
