Parts Shortages
« on: July 09, 2018, 09:09:16 pm »
:scared: anybody else getting this? Just me?

Been running into shortages on Rs and Cs all over the place like crazy and now one of our major irreplaceable ICs. Something to do with AEQ-100 parts perhaps?

The SMD resistors and capacitors I understand, those are common parts and the problems lie with raw material production and not just the factories making the parts.
Also a bit of greed at work, parts for automotive and cell phone usage have greater profits, but the same source materials/processes.

The IC shortages have me stumped though, almost got nailed by that myself. Micro is out of stock at the moment, however I found the stash of missing parts.
Problem is I have 1 microprocessor, stuff up soldering it and it's 2 weeks min to get another.

Yes, you will find that the components have the appropriate adjustment markup, out of stock.
