Pay for PCB layout
« on: December 08, 2016, 04:00:43 am »
I'm working on a Moog modular synthesizer clone and some of the modules are a little too complicated to reproduce on protoboard. I have all the schematics, some pictures of the boards, and some scans of the actual PCB layouts (These are discolored with some writing over top so I cant use them as they are). Does anyone know of someone online or someone on this forum who could relatively cheaply reproduce some boards" I plan on making these at home with the toner transfer method so the PCB images need to be simple with no large ground planes.

if you want someone to design you a custom PCB from the existing schematic, well, that's a schematic capture and layout job (maybe also a bit of a design job, seeing some of the original parts will be really hard to source and probably need replacing!)

if you want to reproduce the boards from scans, as exact clones, you can probably get someone with photoshop/illustrator skills to attempt that, though getting the scale right will be fun. And you'll still have to source all the old bits and pieces.

Either is do-able, but given the number of different boards you need to make all the modules you will want for a modular synth, I expect it will be more than you are willing to pay. Might be cheaper to just by one of the reissues commercially available from Moog. (Or a synthesizers.com system...)
