I'm not sure if this is the same thing, but I've seen this type of connector http://www.te.com/usa-en/product-2-331677-2.html used for connecting battery compartments to PCBs without soldering. Sounds like the same idea, but I don't know if they will work for ICs.

Basically search for "PCB spring socket" and you will find many options.

Those are NOT just "eyelets".  Those are machine-screw female IC pin sockets.  They come in a pre-spaced strip for easy insertion into the PC board holes. Then after soldering, the carrier tape is stripped away.

Mill-Max are the most prolific manufacturer of these ,
Click on the data sheet link on the first hit here:

I've always called these "machined pin sockets" , but it seems "pin receptacle" is a more common name.
Most IC pins are equivalent to 20mil = 0.020" = 0.5mm diameter.

Here is a listing.

You can buy them with a "conventional" plastic holder or just a metal carrier.   I like the low profile they provide.   The plastic sockets can be purchased with built-in decoupling capacitors for logic chips.

To duplicate the assembly you show, you need to get the version with a metal carrier.  The carrier is like a disposable IC with the pins on each leg.    It keeps the bare pins aligned during soldering.   Then remove the carrier and install the IC.

I think it is PCB pin socket. May you can find it from pcbshoppers, pcbway or even ebay.
