Title: PCB stickers/laser engraving for double sized PCBs
Post by: Prometheuz_ZAT on August 14, 2023, 08:37:31 am
Hello,

I'd like to know how are PCB assebly lines working with stickers/engraved serial numbers. For a single sided PCB that's simple, it's just somewhere on the TOP side and assembly machines scan it. But what about double sided ones? Those of you that work in PCB assebly lines and are scanning serial numbers, do you have just one sticker and an extra scanner searching for the sticker on the bottom side? Or do you have a sticker on each side with the same information in it?

If we use just one sticker I have to figure out a way to scan it from the BOT side.

Any information is going to be very helpful.

2 Industrial barcode scanners that can cover an entire panel, top and bottom. Yes, these are basically cameras these days.
