Hitachi / Renesas H8/300 date code question
« on: November 08, 2022, 03:04:43 pm »
Would anyone know what date code is OL1?

There is nothing else on the actual chips either.

I believe it is around 2010, plus or minus a few years. That was when I bought them. The packaging changed around 2013 to show the more conventional format e.g. 1422 being 22nd week of 2014.

I have a lot of these; some OM1 etc.

Thank you in advance.

Thanks for finding that.

So OL1 is 1st week of November 2000.

The funny thing is I have a lot of chips (bought from US used stock dealers about 15 years ago) which are OL1 and OM1 so they are all very close to each other.

These are all good stock, After that, I started getting counterfeits as the chinese discovered "movement" on this P/N. Fortunately they were dumb enough to mark it with a nonexistent P/N :)

The seller was very upset and insisted on payment but luckily we had an account so sent them back, and I never bought any more other than new stock from Hitachi distis. The LTB was about 10 years ago and that product is still selling but I have tons of CPU stock.
