Seeed Studio Fusion PCB "EORI" Number

Hi all,
Has anyone purchased from Seed Studio using DHL shipping recently? It asks for an EORI number, however it does let you proceed without one. I assume you do not need to enter it unless you have one?

I got a headache over this recently and eventually just used EMS.
There is an application form to get an EORI here:

I honestly, after a few hours of googling, still don't really know how it works. I think you need one for each shipment and you have to talk to HMRC, the courier, the supplier etc all at once. I don't think you can proceed without one, either.

I feel better knowing I'm not the only one! I was having the same thoughts about using EMS too...

The EORI number is not required for importing stuff as individual in a private capacity (there are rare exceptions).
As a business you need on. You get it from your local customs authorities in the EU. It is not per shipment, but per business.
