Small Flyback Transformer Manufaacturer
« on: January 24, 2024, 10:40:04 pm »
Hi folks,

I'm looking to find a manufacturer for a custom small flyback transformer. 5v to 300v step up. It is already designed. It is used in a small commercial device, cost is sensitive and quantities are rather low. A US manufacturer is most desired. Got any ideas? Thanks!

Wurth is alright for low quantities. Usually low volume and low price don't go together very well though, it'll have some premium on it.

Type in "Ferrite transformer manufacturer" into google, along with "near Maryland", or wherever you are.
If its a simple wind, then truthfully, any  "contract electronics manufacturer" could do it, and test the finished parts. (Hipot test, resistance test, leakage inductance test, etc).
A "PCB assembly" place could even do it.
You could even do a youtube video on how to wind it for them.

Be careful though, there is some chance a ferrite winder may send them to china to be wound, just "clip" it on to a larger batch job that they have.
