ALOHA mobile humanoid robotics system from Google DeepMind

Available from Trossen Robotics

Paper here

I've just started reading about this myself but thought I'd start a topic in case people find it interesting.

I wonder if it really is something new or has it been done before. It's open source so that could be good. Thanks.

Could be useful for automated testing or similar tasks. Still not cheap though:
"Open-source Hardware System for Bimanual Teleoperation. With a $20k budget, it is capable of teleoperating precise tasks such as threading a zip tie, dynamic tasks such as juggling a ping pong ball, and contact-rich tasks such as assembling the chain in the NIST board #2. "

It would be great if you could record a sequence to automate repetitive tasks.
