Are Delta products clones or older projects from Mitsubishi and Nais?

Hello,

one thing that intrigues me is the similarity between Delta PLCs and servos to Nais and Mitsubishi, although I've never opened on to compare the hardware.

Are Delta, Nais and maybe omron leasing/selling their older designs to Delta?

Mitsubishi FX1, FX2 and even FX3 are very similar to Delta DVP-EH3, DVP-20, DVP-ES, DVP-EX

Last, but not least, the chinese market is flooded with clones of Mitsubishi FX1 and FX2, running in Atmegas and STMs, where FXs where renesas based...

But, I do not see clones of older Siemens S7 200 (Argh, terrible device) or Allen Bradley clones in market...

What is going one? Big massive leakage? Espionage?

I can't say if they are clones or not, but there is a difference for sure.
I installed a Mitsubishi CNC with 4 servos back in the mid 90's, been using it 5 days a week and its still working today.
Around the same time I also installed about 20 Mitsubishi inverters (1/2 to 25HP) and half of those are still working, the other half kinda died due to the caps failing/leaking.
I installed about 8 delta inverters around 2000-2010 and I think 7 years was the longest before they failed.  Automation direct GS inverters look the same internally as the delta and last just about as long.

I've never myselft replaced any Mitsubishi PLC that failed by itself, always was due to some power surge, short-cut in the outputs or some error from maintenance (like mismatching connections and feeding 230Vac in 24Vdc lines).

As for inverters, is pretty rare for problems others them bad caps although rarely some IGTBs release their magic smoke and most times the power board is serviceable (for inverters > 5hp or special ones)
