ask your local sign shop if they have a flat bed UV (ultraviolet) printer. the one that used on souvenirs mugs pens...
the UV printer can print a backlayer (white/black) and top clear coat.

Vinyl decals could be cut to that size, would be very cost effective.

that can be done using UV printer. as it can print white ink. i'll look for it. it's silkscreen quality btw.

they can directly print on t-shirts afaik. or as big as few feet. you can youtube uv printer flatbed.

Depends on your application and budget. There are many options from digital uv printing to screen printing.

I did something similar, but on acrylic. I wanted white background with black markings, so I painted entire back side white, then laser engraved the design (and cut the cutouts I wanted), then I filled in the engraved parts with black paint. From the front it looks quite nice if I may say so myself.



Should you go this way, you may have trouble cutting glass, but the laser will burn away the paint just as well.
