rub on metal platings?
« on: May 10, 2021, 03:12:15 am »
So, other then silver kool-amp (great stuff), are there any rub on platings that are out there?

I am particularly interested in a rub on tin plate. I see alot of stuff as electrolytic or dip plating, but not really rub on. I like it because the powder stores well and its nice to work with, plus you don't have to deal with solution tanks.

By rub on, I mean that you dampen a cloth (i like the deoxit polypropylene wipes for kool amp), sprinkle it on top, then rub on the very clean surface until it reacts and the plated surface results. I see they sell tin plating concentrate as a powder, I am not sure if this will work in this manner without dilution. I thought maybe?
