2465B CTT calibration question
«

I need to run the CTT calibration routine to remove an error message but I don’t have pulse and time-mark generators. I have several function generators, signal generators, and 1MHz and 10 MHz TCXO. Can any of these be used to run the routine?

I really suggest you get the recommended equipment to run the cal. I tried using other equipment with very limited success. Once I got the right gear, it was pretty easy.

Thanks to those that replied. I was able to perform the calibration by just using a 1MHz 1v peak to peak signal from a TXCO.

Making some sort of adjustment to get it to pass power on testing is certainly possible using a 10mHz
TCXO output signal, performing a critical calibration is certainly another thing altogether. I doubt Tek would suggest the equipment listed unless there was a pretty good reason to not follow their suggestion. If it passes the power on test though, hey, maybe you got lucky.
