Capacitor to replace C8 on 3458A A6 board - Outguard PSU

This is a 53D capacitor, 8300uF (-10% +75%), 35V.  The original was 85C, the current version is 105C (53D832G035JP6E3).

Sadly though this doesn't appear to be available in UK (except with a £15.95 surcharge for shipping from Newark to UK Farnell) which effectively doubles the price.

Can anyone suggest a suitable axial alternative and source in UK.

See if you can find Illinois Capacitor 109TTA035M (or similar) .  Should fit...since the one you're replacing had such a loose tolerance, this will still cover that range with similar ESR.

And only £6.31 from UK Mouser - way cheaper and similar rating.  Pity it's only an 85 degree part, but as the original was also 85C, that's OK.

While I was waiting for the new capacitor to come in I put the old one on the LCR bridge.

ESR was 0.2 ohms which is quite lot more than the 34mOhms it would have had when new, and capacity was really quite low at 7700uF, so glad I've ordered that replacement.
