Attached is the draft of the digital circuitry schematic from the analog out board. Seems like the same circuit is also used for the analog, printer and bcd boards, only the ID resistor is moved to a different position. Power-on test is successful and the different accessories are recognized when the resistor is moved around.

Moving the resistor to the scanner position gives 201 interface error though. After seeing the code this is not surprising, there are extra checks for the scanner, which checks some extra hardware.

The connector is Hirose FX2-52S-1.27DSL(71).

Much appreciated - I had already made some notes about my unit, but this is much more comprehensive!

I've updated the link to the schematic diagram in the first post. Unfortunately, I can't restore the archive that was uploaded to KO4BB. I don't even remember what was in that archive :)

More recent information about the R6581 can be found in these threads:

Please help me !!!
My Advantest r6581 is very new and running perfectly, but I'm worried that the battery might be leaking because it's been used for a long timeSo I replaced the battery with a new, higher-capacity one, enclosed in a plastic case.

After replacing the battery, it can no longer perform self-tests.

Fearing the solder joint wouldn't be secure, I soldered it back and forth multiple times,
causing the positive terminal of the battery's printed circuit board to come loose.
I tried to fix it. Currently, the positive terminal of the measuring battery is still connected to resistor R99, but the situation remains the same.
Could someone please guide me on what to do next?
Thank you in advance.

After replacing the battery, you need to perform INTCAL ALL.

Hi Mickle T, I really admire your knowledge of the Advantest R6581 in particular and your high level of expertise in electronics in general.
Can you guide me?
Please guide me on how to access the internal all screen.
Thank you very much
Looking forward to your reply.

MENU button > (press right twice, theres more options on the right) CALIBRATION (enter) > INTERNAL(right, enter) > ALL (enter)

Can you exit that error screen and open MENU?, maybe have to press right to read all message or press "ERR" or enter/exit to get out of it.

This is an odd case, as a configuration memory check error shouldn't cause the keyboard to lock (unlike other selftest errors).
If you have a GPIB adapter, you can initiate internal calibration using the SCPI command CAL:INT:ALL.

Thank you for your reply.
I will buy a GPIB to USB adapter from Yahoo Japan. However, the delivery time is approximately 7 days.
Once I have the converter, I will follow your instructions and let you know the results. Thank you very much.

While waiting for the GPIB cable to arrive, I have a question that I would really appreciate your help answering.
My Advantest R6581 was working perfectly. I only replaced the battery because I was afraid of a battery leak, which damaged the device.
When I replaced the battery, the device showed the error shown in the image above. However, when I removed the battery and turned the device on, it still displayed the same error message.
After repeatedly soldering and resoldering, I accidentally stripped the positive pins on the printed circuit board of the battery.
I suspect there is an open circuit on one of the wires connected to the positive terminal of the battery
However, when measuring from the positive terminal of the battery to R99 and pin 1 of the MAX695, there is still continuity
I suspect that damage to the anode (or even the cathode) of the battery's printed circuit board has resulted in an open circuit somewhere.
I only see a single circuit path from the positive terminal to resistor r99; I don't even know where the negative terminal is connected
There is no circuit diagram. If anyone knows, please let me know so I can check it specifically.
Looking forward to hearing from Mickle T and his friends.

Pressing and holding the Home button and turning on the power exited the error screen. I am performing an INTCAL ALL operation.

Thanks a lot to Mickle T and deadlylover. Thanks everyone for the feedback.

By the way, with the admin's permission, I'd like to ask on this forum:
Does anyone have a set of four Vishay VHP resistors (2x68k, 120ohm, and 13k)
left over from their LTZ1000 projects? Please sell them to me.
Original

I would really like to buy a resistor set like this.

If I order from Digikey, I have to buy a minimum of 25 pieces of each type
Therefore, I have no way of buying this resistor set.

I don't think there's any point in replacing the original resistors.
At the same time, I recommend paying attention to the connection error of resistor R10.
