Fluke 7526A Precision Process Calibrator Teardown
« on: February 18, 2022, 08:36:55 pm »
I had the opportunity to open up a Fluke 7526A Precision Process Calibrator, basically the bigger and more recent brother of the Fluke 525B.
The older 525B was designed by Martell Electronics (named M2001) and rebadged by Fluke, i assume they did the same with the 7526A (named M3001, although the 7526A-pcb only states "Fluke 2017").
I found xDevs has already done a 525B-teardown and after comparing the mainboard-pictures with the 7526A its evidently very similar with a few more precision resistors, better voltage reference (LM399H compared to VRE302) and added frontpanel-pcb.

Boggles the mind to see that they redesigned the pcb, but are still incapable of installing the correct RS232-connector, still using three wires and a ziptie...thats what you get for about 10k$ new.
Oh and the Voltage Output is not capable of producing a bipolar voltage with the 7526A "[1]All outputs are positive only, unless otherwise noted."  :palm:

So here follows a short teardown with pictures and a list of the used ICs/components.
