Fluke and those silly SI-units
« on: December 05, 2019, 08:58:23 am »
https://www.fluke.com/en-us/product/calibration-tools/pressure-calibrators/fluke-717#

If you look closely the front shows max 6000 PSI 41.4mPa (millipascals instead of megapascals)  |O

Manual is not any better, millipascals again

Too much to ask that Fluke knows the difference between Mega- and milli-   :scared:

Many companies have a way to give documentation feedback - pretty sure an organisation like Fluke would.

Have at it!   :-+

That does not seem fit for purpose.

For instance, if you find yourself in court having to prove that you were doing due diligence by regularly monitoring a system's pressure, measurements you logged with this device may get thrown out.  :o

Seem to be re-occurring problem in many(all?) of the 700 series pressure calibrator manuals.

This is wrong and ugly on many levels, like stating operating pressure in kPa and maximum pressure in MPa in the meter front. Usually preferably to stick to one unit and use it consistently.

Obviously the PSI rating is wrong.

This reminds me to the 60000 mHz CPU (coffee processing unit).
