Keithley K155 battery holder 3D model
« on: June 24, 2019, 06:51:21 am »
While cleaning the 'muck' out of a K155 battery compartment I was thinking what to do about holding the small replacement 9V batteries in the now large cavity !.
Then ah ha why not 3D print one instead of jamming lots of foam in there.
See pictures for the result. And attached in the zip file are the  '.STL files for any owners who could be bothered.

Got a new printer yesterday. Decided I would go with this as my first test print. It came out quite nice and fits perfectly - great job on the design.
The sample PLA included with the printer was white - matches nicely in the 155, kind of looks like PTFE :)

Old thread, but work that keeps on giving to the community. Thank you, lowimpedance, for making this available!

I just got a 155 for myself, in what seems like pristine condition - including internal original batteries that still measure in spec (two of them), and nearly in spec (the other two) - and the 1554 power supply in the back.

On a related track, what type of batteries have others been using for this? Just regular alkaline 9V? (which I see in the included pics) Or lithium? It doesn't seem very critical to me, but just curious on others' picks and their reasoning.

As long as I resurrected this, I thought I'd contribute some images of the finished product.
