General Resistance DAV-46E voltage reference
« on: March 24, 2022, 12:30:27 pm »
Bonjour à tous
Just acquired this vintage "Dial-A-Volt" thumb wheel 1/10V référence for $65.

In very  fine condition, but simple 1N827 low TC  Zener reference is unstable and out of cal adjustment trimpot is pinned.

In the schematic, I can find similar DAS series but not any DAV, and DAS 46 without E suffex. DAV series may have no chopper stabilized opamp.

the power supply is different.

Want to fix and calibrate, then to upgrade the amplifier and reference.

A manual or schematic pdf of DAV-46E will he greatly appreciated

Mille mercis pour votre gentil aide

Cordialement

Jon

Bastlr! WOW perfect, MANY THANKS!

this confirms what I had suspected that the DAV 46E has no chopper opamp, it is just a reference and KV divider.

After realizing the polarités and 1V 10V switches were scratchy, I just used contact lube and the 10V was stable, I could calibrate with the Keysight 34465a to 10.0000

Running an overnight stability trend now.

Enjoy,

Jon
