That sharp end will either break off, or stab you when you are least expecting it, etc... They need to make it retractable or removable/replaceable.

Also, the grounding - this happens through the USB port? 3.3A?

That looks like how the junior engineers (before I retired) used scope probes:  first, lose the “witch’s hat”, then put the ground wire aside, then lose the ground wire, then return the useless probe to whence it was borrowed.

It shows the SMD number code and color code of components based on their resistance or capacitance from some internal library - that's interesting ...

The input does not look very fast, so the long ground lead may not be such a problem.
The display at the end of the probe can still be a bit unconvenient - you just don't see the tip anymore. With a wireless display it may be OK - though more like a tiny, limited frequency scope and not a DMM replacement.

The still have to invent the wireless ground lead.

Not if it does more than only producing wobbly lines on a tiny screen. 

I do wonder what that factory makes during the Saturday afternoon shift, or this is it.

This is one of those objects that are useless without extra things that completely break the design.
