hmm. "Untested" and the seller can't even be bothered to see if they power on. And AFIK there is no service info available on those so the chances of them working are very low and the chances of repairing them and getting them to operate within spec is pretty much nil. And on top of everything else, I don't see any seals on them so who knows who has been into them and what damage they may have done or what parts they may have taken out.
There are too many unknowns here and I won't touch them at that price. As far as I'm concerned they're scrap and should sell for a scrap price.
Possibly (and I regard this price as scrap price, btw - including shipping: $15 literally diagonally across the country... which makes no sense for the size of those), but they sell in essentially unknown condition (other than turning on) for like $2-4k. I'd have taken on these as a project (well... two) without blinking. I'm working on things on this state pretty frequently with good results - a good example is my Prema 6048 was in a similar state with this (and got it for essentially the same price) and it's operational now. Also, component level service manual is available, so not a "blind project" (which I don't typically do).
My experience is rather positive with items that are "under-described." I think a lot of that is sellers not wanting to have anything to do with the liability of describing the item in any specific way (and therefore guaranteeing it).
