Did anybody see this calibrator ? How many were sold and anything about the customers (Navy...) ? Thank you

I believe that the US Navy used the 2720GS (but not the 2730GS). It wasn't very reliable (way back when).

I don't know about reliability but the 2730GS has been obsolete for some time but its introduction had a paper or two at the IEEE:
