Hi all,

I just saw this:

https://www.tunkia.cn/TH1950-High-Precision-Multifunction-Calibrator-pd788121088.html

Specification wise it claims to be a Chinese "Fluke 5730a grade" multifunction calibrator. No idea about price, probably quite a bit of money, but significantly cheaper than a Fluke 5730a (for good reasons). Specifications and real long term performance can be two different things though....

I have never heard about this company before, but they have lots of interesting equipment. Multifunction calibrators, voltage standards, resistance standards, resistance bridges etc.

Still no 8.5 digit multimeter, but I could see that comming any time soon.

Website here:
https://www.tunkia.cn/

Product catalogue here:
https://jkrorwxhqkiklq5p-static.micyjz.com/TUNKIA+Production+Catalog+Introduction-2024-aidlpBplKmolkSRlknorirkio.pdf

They also have a youtube channel:
https://www.youtube.com/@Tunkia_/videos

First China made cheap basic stuff, then gradually advancing in all areas. Now very good EVs. Comac not really Airbus and Boing class yet, but could very well soon be. And now Fluke and other high end measurement device manufacturers are getting chased too it seems.

Anyone heard about this company, seen any reviews of their equipment or maybe tried them? Any insight in prices?

The TH1960 amplifier is also planned (but it is not listed yet) equivalent to the Fluke 5725A....

"732B"   "732C"  (0.1V instead of the 1.018V output)

Pity that @zlymex isn't active here anymore.  Would be interesting what he'd say about those.

As expected, the specifications have been copied from the Fluke 732C.

I just can't get over the name.  Childish – I know! – but tunkio = dungheap, literally.

(I think it's actually a derivative of the company original name, Tong Ren Co. Ltd., "Colleagues" or some such.  They do use the spelling "TUNKAI" in their About Us page.)

Although I have no experience with proper metrology equipment (outside physics labs tools), the fact that their focus is in high-end Chinese metrology users is in my opinion a promising sign.  What the actual performance is, will have to be properly tested by someone with the equipment and expertise.

They have a page on alibaba.

https://tunkia.en.alibaba.com/index.html?spm=a2700.shop_index.88.11.390e48a8imLVdI

Prices seems quite random tough.

The Fluke 732c "inspired" voltage standard for instance have a price from 30K to 120K USD....

https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/TUNKIA-TH0100-TH0104-DC-voltage-reference_1600896266644.html?spm=a2700.shop_plgr.41413.7.ea3f7121CWbbgx

Still lots of cool equipment! And very impressive a company with 400 employees claimed on the webpage has been able to design so many very specialized types of equipment. Real life performance a bit of an unknown though.
