I have not posted in a while. Today I wanted to share an environmentally conscious design for a standard resistor:
It is using custom made pure copper binding posts:
PTFE (Teflon) wires to connect to the resistor:
4 wire connection is made to special ORGANIC RESISTANCE STANDARD material:
It initially came out to be around 7k Ohms. It will be trimmed to perfect 10,000 Ohms after setting. As a lead designed, I will personally eat everything that is trimmed of the resistor.
Here is a little more on construction in case you would want to make one of your own. Construction on the top of the pizza box is highly recommended. Responsibly grown and environmentally safe bamboo insulator is essential for proper functionality.
Organic material needs to be precision cut:
Heavy aluminum bus bars are needed for reliable contact:
Mode details on design:
If you have any ideas on improving the design, please let me know. I want to thank #leighcorrigall for his help in building the standard.
Belated Happy APRIL 1st to everybody.
