« on: November 08, 2023, 05:28:13 pm »
Hello,

it's may simple, but I have trouble finding the driver  windows 10 for this hardware.
It is declared in USB VID_1366&PID_0101 in the device manager and seen as a Jlink.
see picture

Thank's for your help

It’s true that it was childish simplicity for the drivers thanks to your link. It’s simple in fact. LOL.
Good it works, recognized in Windows and even in top JTAG.

On the other hand, if you can look at this post
https://www.eevblog.com/forum/microcontrollers/jtag-with-a-lattice-lcmx0256c-rigol-1052e/msg5123871/#msg5123871

I never managed to find the Lattice in the JTAG chain, even by wiring it alone.

Fake manip with TopJtag?
Pb of a  bad DLL?
Lattice "Burn"???
Other?

my USB bLaster is a Chinese model USB BLASTER REVC
Incompatibility of USB Blaster Rev C made in China? (Build with only one chip ch552G)
i think clone with this soft
https://github.com/xjtuecho/CH552Nano

I ordered this article, but in my opinion it is incompatible too (???)

Your opinion

From my understanding, the method to program/access the devices will vary, needing specific software, routines..., but the jtag basics is universal, just like USB, the interface will say "Hello, anyone there?" and all the devices should answer back.
So, you should get at least the jtag ID, otherwise I'd look elsewhere, maybe a connection problem, too high frequency (Try 10KHz or so), ot maybe the device is disabling its jtag interface to prevent exactly this.

DavidAlfa,

I agree with you.
Yes the "hello I’m here", should work.
For speed, I did not see an option in TopJtag for a usb Blaster to modify the speed.
I also tried with Quartus, same no answer.
I'am Not specialist with the debugging chain !
But I’m sure of my connections.

Then there is a software that would adjust the speed, I do not know. (??) If you know.
In desespoir of cause, I ordered an interface WIGGLER//. Is it maybe slower?
To test with an old PC under XP LOL

Just one thing to be sure,
We don’t have to create a chain with the components before the scan.
The software has to identify an (the) IDCode(s)  with the scan.
Only then is the BDSL file downloaded.

you confirm

Following,

I also studied all the documentation of the Lattice MachXO256C
Pin 48 "Sleep", must be in the high state to activate the JTAG port. This is the case with a PullUP resistor.
See all connexions with a scope, all seem correct.
Afterwards, it may have been "fused" . I don’t know the history of this device

Hello,

some help please

I’m still unable to read the machXO Code ID, but it works with the BlackFin.
(I test each component one by one).
So either my USB Blaster Rev C to is not compatible or other. (Chinese model)
I attached the theoretical timing of the 2 components to read with the Jtag port.
Is it the same for you?

Also you can put me the commands to enter into Quartus to read the Code ID with the debugger windows
Can you detail each step and the value of each field (Number clock, etc, etc) to read an ID Code
I am not a specialist of that.

thank's
