This does make the UK government's complaints about "ARM is important to British sovereignty!" (or whatever) in view of Nvidia's offer to buy ARM seem rather ... silly.

I can appreciate the bemused humour reaction, because the story is incredible. The audacity of it, the unexpected twist involving the corporate seal, and what it says about rule of law. The analogy to a heist is fitting, and great heist stories often elicit that reaction ... though we're usually reading them years after the fact, and have more psychological distance.
