hello,
i got this dev kit with a quark mcu from intel.
anyone has pointers of using open source tools to flash and compile for this ?
main reference so far is
http://www.gregorykelleher.com/blog/quark_issm
- but it does not really show how to flash and/or compile

Which Quark? For the ones using the Pentium ISA (X1000, SE C1000, D2000), GCC should work. The D1000 uses a unique instruction set that AFAIK is only supported by Intel's own compiler so far.
