PIC18f4500 usb programming
« on: October 27, 2012, 10:06:25 am »
Hello.
I recently managed to program the Microchip bootloader into my PIC18F4550, got MPLab, and found some blinking LED code on the net. However, i am not sure if that will work with my MC ( i don't want to overwrite the bootloader) . Besides that, i have no idea how to upload the hex file made by MPLab into the MC via USB.
Can anyone help me ?

Hi,

I used the software Microchip made for the demo board, including an application to upload user software using the bootloader.
Read the demo board user guide, and install the MCHPFSUSB v2.2 USB Framework, both can be found here:

Keyboard error: Press F1 to continue.

For the pic newbies (like me ), i found this. It gives step-by-step instructions, and example programs.
