I.MX 8M Plus coprocessor flash/boot problem (remoteproc)
« on: December 11, 2023, 11:30:46 am »
I'm trying to flash a Cortex-M7 coprocessor, but I'm encountering problems.

My steps:

1) Copy fw.elf to /lib/firmware/
2) Specify the firmware file name: echo fw.elf > /sys/class/remoteproc/remoteproc0/firmware
3) Start the flashing process: echo start > /sys/class/remoteproc/remoteproc0/state
However, at step 3, there's an issue where the system immediately freezes after writing start to state, and to recover it, I have to reboot the machine.

I'm not using it. But I'd be surprised if you could directly upload the elf file. I suggest that you read the fine print regarding this.
