IAR Location of IDE log file
« on: August 28, 2023, 09:49:36 am »
Hi there,

Could someone point me in the direction of some sort of logfile which would contain IAR crash data.
Can't seem to find one?

Any help would be appreciated!

Sysinternals ProcessExplorer among other things can also show you file access for a selected process.

You could search for IarIdePm.exe.mdmp. Should be in your user folders on C:\ and with a recent modification date.

Thanks for this, will have a look. Sorry for the late response.
Turned out it was my cable!!

I did not expect that a cable would cause IAR to crash in such a way.
