jtag connection with urjtag

I am trying to begin my JTAG journey and can't get past connecting to my adapter.
I am on W10 with urjtag program.
I have a YS-CH341T USB adapter. Connecting it to my computer it is USB-SERIAL CH341A (COM9)
I open urjtag and have no clue which cable to try to use. The ones I tried failed, but some seem to require additional info and how does it know which port I am on (COM9)? I have read lots of documents but have not found anything yet.
Can anyone get me started?
