kivy on raspberry pi
« on: July 30, 2019, 05:20:40 pm »
hi all,

anyone here have experience installing and running kivy on later rpis? (3+ , 4)

I'm fairly familiar with python on the pi running under raspbian , but would not like to have to get too familiar with the Linux command line.

download it and try it out!

I don't know what's the point using linux and not wanting to use the console; that's the most powerful tool you can have, all the sysadmin GUIs are just bogus

Sorry i have posted this question to the wrong forum . mod's can you move this to embedded please.

hb9evi,

if things were only that simple...

I should have said that i have tried: the prepared boot image unfortunately does not work on the 3+
and I believe the pip install requires some fiddling to configure for the rpi .

I'd love to get to know linux better , but the years are piling up and my brain is still using core memory !
(i wrote my first program  (and bug! )in 1968 for a honeywell and may still have the stsck of line-printer paper to prove it :,-))
