MPLAB Code Coverage
« on: July 16, 2021, 10:50:08 am »
Hi,
I have been looking into MPLAB Code Coverage but it is not clear if it is possible to do the following:
- line by line "replay" of the C source code (XC32 compiler) not of the assembly, that has been executed
- have the source code that has been executed highlighted so you can quickly go through it and see what has been executed instead of having to look at the executed code maps

It would seem basic obvious functionality but I could not find any videos or documents showing that clearly. Most of the videos go on about the maps instead of a clear visual and/or replay as described above. Does anybody know?

Thank you :)

Though I don't have an answer for your specific question, I would just like to advise you to double check the qualification of the tool to make sure it's applicable to your product. It says that it's TUV-SUD certified, but that is only valid in certain types of industries. For example in aerospace, the TUV-SUD is useless and you would have to qualify the tool yourself.

Thank you Ivo, useful info! :)

In this case I just need it for myself to speed up checking code.
