New free open-source tool for GUI design w/ SCPI support from EEZ
« on: September 11, 2023, 04:44:47 pm »
I have nothing to do with this tool but an email about it came across my desk today.  I think it looks interesting and might be of interest to this crowd.

The Envox Experimental Zone group (who make the BB3 and H24005 PSUs) released a free, cross-platform, open-source tool to develop GUIs for embedded controllers (using LVGL).  This is an evolution of the tool they used for their own GUIs.  The interesting thing is that it also has a focus on building test instruments and has support for creating SCPI commands and the ability to specify flow-based logic with debugging, etc.  It can also be used to create applications for your desktop that interface with existing instruments.

I haven't played with it yet but it comes with examples.  Probably a bit of a learning curve though.
