NI myDAQ
« on: December 04, 2013, 10:12:22 am »
Hello everybody,

My problem is that I ordered NI myDAQ while ago. But they sent me an email telling me that they are only shipping within the USA, so they cancelled my order. I searched everywhere in the Internet but I couldn't find a site that will ship it to Bahrain.

I think i should find an alternative device, so what do you think of Arduino+LabVIEW Bundle as a substitute for NI myDAQ?, are they similar in their functions and codes.

Once upon a time, I argued against it. Price has dropped by 33% since Kickstarter days, and although I haven't personally verified, surely software front end has since been refined.

If your heart is set on acquiring a MyDAQ, a periodic inquiry on eBay is probably your best bet.

It kind of depends on what you want to do.  The Sparkfun Labview bundle is a great deal if you want to use Labview and the Labview interface for Arduino is a great tool for interfacing the two, but you won't get the same out of the box DMM, DSO, function generator, spectrum analyzer you get with the myDAQ

If you want those things in a small myDAQ like package - I'd look at the Analog Discovery which has better specs than the myDAQ and also has a logic analyzer.
