Wanna try Atmels AVR 3.6.1 avr-gcc compiler ?
« on: December 26, 2017, 06:50:57 pm »
Atmel released the source for their avr-gcc 3.6.1 build
http://distribute.atmel.no/tools/opensource/Atmel-AVR-GNU-Toolchain/3.6.1/

But never released it as a binary.

I have built it from source , and have uploaded a "tar.gz" of the binary directory here  for x64 , it's built on a Mint 17.3  (afaik same as a Ubuntu 14.4 LTS)

Download:
https://mega.nz/#!9mQG2QxR!qTBgLy0Uhf_3yctUUskE37R_Zv4JQqdaB9HHuxq6aM8

MD5 Sum should be:
9c8368bd7dca8e89f4cb047757604eeb  atmel-3.6.1-x64.tar.gz

The build is mine, but the BUGS are Atmels

Only real difference is that i have moved the hostlib directory inside the compiler dir, as i wanted all inside same dir

I have included avrdude & avarice in the bin-dir too

Edit: AFAIK the Atmel builds uses static linking, so it might work on most "recent" x64 linux'es
