I have discovered that my PI2 is camera-shy !

Taking it's picture with a flash causes an instant power off !

I've done it three times now and same thing happens each time.

First two times I didn't realise what had happened as I wasn't looking at the screen at the time and only noticed a few minutes afterwards.
Third time I did it just to watch the screen.... Instant power off.....

Any ideas ?

Problem solution:  It appears that U16, the SMPS chip, is the culprit.
Chinglish poetry: In the hot summer. In the car ran full steam. It tastes strange. For this worry? With this fan will bring you a cool summer. Suitable for all kinds of cars. Agricultural vehicles. Van. Tricycle.

I find this type of problem fascinating. Evidently the package around U16 is translucent?
And furthermore the die is not immune to light, perhaps by having an unmetallized area or being perturbable by small photoelectric voltage on its metal layer.
Some chips have also been observed to work ONLY when illuminated: this effect happens when the designers forgot to isolate parts of the chip and stray charges can move from channel to gate, causing upsets. When light shines on the die, it increases the recombination rate and sweeps up these stray charges.

Might be worth mentioning to the RPi guys.

Edit: Replied from my phone, didn't see it was from their forum.

It's this chip:

A small blob of blutack over it fixed the issue for me:
