someone with Gnat(ADA) for HPPA (HP-Risc) ?
« on: December 28, 2016, 07:26:47 pm »
so I happen to have an HP-PA workstation here, loaded with linux-64bit; the system is built in a sleek, silent tower casing and also available as a rack-mount option, it supports up to 16Gbyte of ram, and it would be fab, if I only I had dev-lang/gnat-gcc on it.

Code: [Select]
  sci-electronics/ghdl
      Homepage:      http://ghdl.free.fr
Description:   Complete VHDL simulator using the GCC technology
      License:       GPL-2

ghdl is fab because it allows to simulate vhdl, but it needs gnat to be compiler.
Gnat needs a bootstrap, and unfortunately there are just a few architectures in the list

Code: [Select]

        amd64? ( $url/src/gnatboot-${BOOT_SLOT}-amd64.tar.bz2 )
        sparc? ( $url/src/gnatboot-${BOOT_SLOT}-sparc.tar.bz2 )
        x86?   ( $url/src/gnatboot-${BOOT_SLOT}-i686.tar.bz2 )
        ppc?   ( $url/src/gnatboot-${BOOT_SLOT}-ppc.tar.bz2 )

ppc is deprecated, there is no support for ppc64, so no IBM Power{4,5,6,7} are supported, and hppa is not in the list ='(

do you happen to have a bootstrap for HPPA2?
HPUX? Linux-hppa? Let me know  :-+ :-+ :-+
