« on: April 15, 2016, 04:41:56 pm »
Some lighter fare for Friday..

Here are some interesting Hex constants--anyone have any more?

0xDEADBEEF

0xCAFEBABE

Complexity is the number-one enemy of high-quality code.

From the above cited Wikipedia Hexspeak web site:

0x8BADF00D ("ate bad food") is used by Apple in iOS crash reports, when an application takes too long to launch, terminate, or respond to system events.

That shows that Apple spent the time and trouble to make the hex codes, more useful/funny/informative/human-readable. So impressive.

"café" being "coffee" in French, and us using English enough to make the 2nd part funny.

Not a cheat, taken by me many years ago, on a program that I (obviously poorly) coded but of course not with such an intent.

I've never been able to come up with a longer English word than 0xDEFACED.  Anyone got an 8-character word?
