Trojan at PROGISP
« on: December 30, 2019, 05:00:05 pm »
I have a USBAsp programmer and I want to program a BIOS ic which I think is corrupted.
The IC is this one, an EN25F80-75HCP.
I found that with USBAsp I can use the program 'PROGISP'.
But I checked it with virus total and found that it is infected with a trojan:

So, my question is: with which other software I can program the above mentioned IC (using, of course, my USBAsp as a programmer)?
Or, is there some way to remove the trojan from the PROGISP?
Or maybe it 's not really a trojan?

I downloaded it from another link, 'clean'.
But it only can program AVR MCUs, not BIOS ICs.
I guess with USBAsp I cannot program it, I 'll have to wait for the programmer I have ordered.

False virus detection is very common.

Progisp is mostly an avr flash tool,  but it can do 93c series and 24c  series  memory chip

Some talks / threads to program it with an arduino
