Which PIC?
(1/1)
redek:
I'm going to start my first real electronics project, circuit design and programming. I've assembled a few kits, but I want to make a nixie clock. I have decided to get a Pickit 3, and have no idea which pic to use. If someone could point out a chip that I can use for various projects for the next few years I would appreciate it. I've hand soldered surface mounted microcontrollers in the past, so the package isn't a big issue.
Thanks,
Derek

I would go with any one if the 18F PIC chips.

If your planning on coding in C then you might like to check out Shane Tolmie's site http://www.microchipc.com/ which has lots of examples of coding PIC's in C
