Bluetooth 2.0 and 5.3 coexistence (bandwidth restriction?)
« on: December 15, 2023, 04:28:38 pm »
I have wireless mouse and keyboard both using Bluetooth 2.0, and wireless headphones using Bluetooth 5.3. I have noticed that the audio quality on my computer is much worse than my phone. If I type very quickly just after I move the mouse, I might even get a dropout on the headphones.

I am curious how much of this is BT 2.0's fault. It's a very old protocol and I assume it's going to take a lot more of the available data bandwidth than modern version under the same circumstances. I know for 802.11 (WiFi) this is the case. Is my assumption correct for Bluetooth?

Thank you!
