I have been looking around at my local vendors, and some online searching. I am looking for a Bluetooth Module I can mount in an existing product which has an external antenna connector. Ideally I would like the external antenna to be SMA, but its not mandatory. A lot of the products I am viewing have the antenna etched into the PCB, which is not what I am interested in, because I need to get as much of the RF Energy out of the enclosure of the product I am working on.

I need SERIAL/UART I/O’s exposed to interface between the RXD/TXD pins of the existing product. I think a power level of 8 - 10dBm would be suitable, as I will be adding a separate external antenna which will provide some gain.

I think the biggest problem I am having in my search is a good portion of what is available all seem to have Antenna integrated on the PCB. Is there some search term I can use to make sure I do not get results which show an external antenna?

Thanks in advance!
